Faculty and Staff Assistance Programs

The Wellness Corporation is currently providing faculty and staff assistance programs on 168 campuses across the country. By responding daily to the intricate needs of institutions of higher education, we learn more and more how challenging it can be to unite the many facets involved in operations. As we respond to the needs of faculty and staff and their household members, managers and issues pertaining to employee performance, professional non-faculty and faculty interactions and a host of other needs which arise, we grow to understand the problems, both unique and inherent, to higher education settings.

We pay great attention to

  • The unique attributes of each college/university,
  • The attention that colleges and universities pay to employee needs,
  • The strength of 'community' present on campuses,
  • Family atmosphere v. the need to manage a campus as a business.
  • The need for campuses to function well and self-correct with the least student impact.
  • The impact to the campus when Critical Incidents occur.

Because of the trust put in us, and the scope of services offered to Colleges and Universities, we provide services well outside the usual limits of traditional EAP services, such as…

  • Organizational Development, Mediation and Customized Training Programs to reflect Campus Culture
  • Unlimited Management Consultations
  • Assistance with HR in handling daily issues with faculty and staff
  • Development of new programs to help colleges & universities to attain goal
  • Student Assistance Programs

Launch of New Web-based Harassment Training Course for Colleges and Universities

Statistics tell us that harassment and discrimination continue to be a very serious problem on college and university campuses across the nation. While all students, faculty, staff, and anyone present on campus for that matter, have the right to a respectful environment, incidents of unwelcome behaviors are not uncommon. This program is designed to help colleges and universities reinforce their commitment to creating and maintaining an academic environment free of harassment and discrimination by addressing each individual’s role and responsibilities on campus. Additionally, this program provides direction for how to deal with the harassment and discrimination incidents that do occur. The program is designed to have a high impact at a reasonable cost.
